The Summer Maths Confidence Sessions are designed to bridge the gap in learning during the long summer break, ensuring that children feel prepared and confident as they return to school.
What are the Summer Maths Confidence Sessions?
Children attend one session each week in an ability-matched group, where they will revisit and consolidate key maths skills from the year in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Rather than racing ahead or relying on more worksheets, we focus on helping concepts make sense, rebuilding confidence, and reducing the “I’ve forgotten everything” feeling before school returns.
Each session is led by Kristy an experienced educator who is dedicated to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Tailored support will address individual areas of difficulty, making sure no child is left behind.

Will a group be too much for my anxious child?
We understand that joining a group can feel overwhelming for a child who already finds maths challenging. That’s why we keep our groups small, with a maximum of six children, creating a supportive, low-pressure environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate.
Sessions focus on practical, hands-on activities using concrete materials and visual strategies to make maths easier to understand. There’s no pressure to be the fastest, get every answer right or compete with others. Instead, children are encouraged to ask questions, explore different strategies and learn from mistakes.
With just six children in a group, your child can receive guidance while benefiting from learning alongside others who may share similar struggles.
Our goal is for your child to leave each session feeling supported, capable and more confident than when they arrived.
My child has a diagnosis. Is this program right for them?
Our program is designed with children who experience maths difficulties in mind, including those with dyscalculia, learning difficulties and maths anxiety.
We use hands-on materials, visual supports and step-by-step strategies to help children develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, rather than relying on memorisation or endless worksheets.
Groups are organised by school year level, with separate groups for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. This helps us focus on the skills and concepts most relevant to each stage of learning.
Every child is different, so we encourage you to get in touch before enrolling. We can discuss your child’s learning needs, confidence levels and support requirements to help determine whether a group setting is the right fit.
How long does the program run for?
The program runs for four weeks, with one one-hour session each week.
Each session provides opportunities to revisit important maths concepts, practise useful strategies and strengthen foundational skills through guided, hands-on activities.
The program is held in Coburg North, with groups available for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Four weeks provides a focused opportunity to build understanding and confidence without overwhelming your child. Small steps can make a big difference!
How much does the program cost?
The full four-week program costs $240 + GST per child.
This includes all four one-hour group sessions, with a maximum of six children (minimum of 3 children) per group.
That’s $60 + GST per session for practical, targeted maths support in a small-group setting.
Paired sessions cost $360 + GST for four one-hour sessions. Contact us to organise a suitable match.
