The Year 7 Maths Ready Program gives your child the chance to revisit and strengthen the key maths skills, concepts and ideas from Grade 6—before they begin high school.
Rather than arriving unsure or trying to catch up, students can start the year already familiar with the foundations they will need for Year 7 maths.
How does the Year 7 Maths Ready Program work?
Children attend one session each week in an ability-matched group, where they will revisit and consolidate key maths skills from the year in a supportive, hands-on environment.
We will focus on important skills including number, calculations, fractions, decimals,
percentages and problem-solving, helping students make sense of their learning and build confidence along the way.
Each session is led by an experienced educator who is dedicated to fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Tailored support will address individual areas of difficulty, making sure no child is left behind.
This is not about putting pressure on children to race ahead. It is about giving them a calm, supported head start, so they can begin Year 7 feeling prepared, capable and ready to participate.
